Ivy de Bruijn has been practicing as an intellectual property lawyer since 2013. Her practice focuses on trademarks, trade names, copyrights, design rights, and domain name disputes. In addition, Ivy advises and litigates in matters concerning advertising law and media and entertainment law.
Ivy studied Dutch, European and International law at the University of Maastricht. She subsequently graduated cum laude from the University of Amsterdam in the specialized Master Information Law and Intellectual Property.
Before joining Boekx, Ivy worked as a lawyer at the international IP firm Hoyng Rokh Monegier. In order to realize her social ambitions, Ivy taught leadership and project management skills to young people in various vulnerable communities in Cartagena and Medellin, Colombia between 2016 and 2018 in the Leadership in my Community Program ran by the Che Amigo Foundation. Besides speaking Dutch, English and German, she is therefore fluent in Spanish.
At Boekx, Ivy translates this societal ambition by championing for the rights of victims of cyberbullying, revenge porn, hate speech, online discrimination and related issues.
Ivy is a member of the Netherlands Copyright Association and the Netherlands Association for Media and Communication Law.
